«And now we want only to mountains…»

What could be better than a trip to the mountains? And besides of that, such an occasion happened-the professional Holiday, the Accountants’ Day! That is why the idea to celebrate it on the highest peak Hoverla of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains was accepted by the team of accountants of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd., so to say, «with a bang». Because of different reasons not everyone managed to go there, but those, who had done this, received the unforgettable impressions. But let me tell this in order.

On Saturday, at dawn our group started the trip to the direction of Hoverla. The sleep had flown away, we were joking and conversing and had not noticed that we already approached a city Vorohta. A guide joined us there and we even had not felt bad roads because we attentively listened to a thrilling narration about the exciting views, opened before our eyes…

We came to the tract named Zaroslyak. After instructions we equipped ourselves, took a snack and started the ascent. It appeared so that only two of us were in the past at Hoverla, others were conquering this top for the first time. And for some of our colleagues the ascent to mountains was really for the first time in life …

These three hours of the way to the dream could be described a long time. We experienced everything: delight from giddy landscapes, jokes and incredible efforts, weariness and support of friends… Perhaps, nothing more unites people so much, like a common overcoming of difficulties. All were encouraging each other, supporting, assisting… And the weather was like ordered: the sun did not shine too hot but tenderly stroked us, clouds did not cover perfect landscapes and wove interesting patters on the sky… The guide’s story about the origin of the Carpathian Mountains created almost a mythical atmosphere.

And here is the top! We are on the highest top of the Ukrainian Carpathian! And we were standing and feeling their grandeur. Our souls were overfilled with a proud that we have such a beauty on our land. These emotions could not be described by words; they are to be felt…

And further became a medal ceremony, champagne, greeting, photographing… Hoverla patiently waited till we will be fully pleased by its serene beauty, and then decided to show its character. It rained, then it hailed, then sunny again and then dark clouds and rain with hail again and later sunny again… While descending, we stepped on the slippery stones, jumped through the streams, but nothing could spoil our great mood and pleasure. In varicoloured raincoats we looked like teletubbies. We were tired, dirty but really happy…

And down was waiting for us tasty soup bograch, shish kebab, potatoes and other tasty things. We greeted each other again, exchanged the breathtaking impressions and recollected interesting moments, and the experienced emotions. We have done this! We managed! Everybody thanked sincerely our leader, chief accountant Rostyslav Vasylyovych Kulyk for such a Holiday. It’s a worthy gift! It’s something special that could not be forgotten!

And this is only the start…

…A ten-year old son of one of our colleague said the other days that this year he does not want to go to the sea. Now he is eager to go to Hoverla.
