The city’s main Christmas tree, donated by KARPATNAFTOCIM Ltd., will shine with lights and 3-D illuminations

This year the main New-year-Christmas tree in Kalush will be a special one and for the first time artificial. Funds for its purchase were not used from the budget of the city. The sponsor was «KARPATNAFTOCHIM».

The height of the artificial Christmas tree reaches 16 meters, and at its top will shine a two-meter Christmas star. KARPATNAFTOCHIM Company purchased a Christmas tree from one of the Ternopil producers, who offered a warranty period of 8 years.            Representatives of the manufacturer together with workers of local utilities firms “Kalushatodor” and “Misksvitlo” began on December 13 the installation of the main Christmas tree at the Heroes’ Square. As of the day when this issue of the NK newspaper was being prepared, the riggers had completed their work. And illuminations in 3-D format were put on the artificial «forest beauty». The city authorities did not want in advance to share all the secrets of creating a festive New Year and Christmas atmosphere on Heroes’ Square. But as a mayor of the city Andriy Nayda emphasized, there will really be a gorgeous spectacle with 3-D illuminations on and around the Christmas tree. There will be a festive New Year and Christmas fair on the square, where both local and foreign entrepreneurs have volunteered to display and sell their goods.            For local residents of Kalush and for the guests of the city, we’d like to remind that the opening ceremony of the New Year and Christmas holidays with the participation of the Lviv Academic Spiritual Theatre “Resurrection” and the lighting of the main Christmas tree on Heroes Square will take place on December 19 at 17.30.
