This is the responding to the work of the electric welder of the repair shop for ethylene and polyethylene production facility of “KARPATNAFTOCHIM” Ltd Yaroslav Lopushinsky by his chiefs and colleagues.

For the first time about a high skill of electric welder I have heard from a chief deputy of the division Volodymyr Futerko, when he and his colleagues were mounting in Kalush municipal hospital a new system of medical oxygen supply from oxygen station to the wards of Covid patients. And suddenly during performance of these activities a chief deputy of the division exclaimed: «It’s a pity that Lopushinsky is not here. He would connect this quickly…».

I will not go into details of what would he do, that could not be done by the other workers; I will only say that in the voice of the chief of the division was felt respect to his subordinator.

We continued the conversation about the electric welder Yaroslav Lopushinsky in the office of Volodymyr Homenko, a chief of repair department. I did not come to him accidentally, but with the target to determine by means of the recommendation of the leader of the enterprise who currently from the team of repair workers most of all contributes to that fact that the majority of heat-exchangers-and these are 10-meters and larger multi-tons apparatus, which earlier were repaired and renewed on specialized enterprises of Ukraine, are repaired at the time being in the division of the enterprise.

– To answer this question we should not deliberate a long time, – responds a chief of department. – We have a lot of well-qualified specialists, but if it concerns real experts of their business in electrical welding, then specialist number 1 is Yaroslav Lopushinsky.

To get acquainted and talking to Yaroslav Petrovich during his work failed. Firstly, as I was informed, he was conjuring over heat-exchanger, and then was urgently sent to work at new-built propylene oxide unit. So we only met with him during a break of working shift, when he was going to the relaxing room.

High recognition of his work was perceived by him very quietly and at the same time worthy.

– I do not consider myself to be a super specialist, – tells he, – but I always cherished my job and tried to do everything for the best results achievement. Why had I chosen a profession of electric welder? I was fascinated by this thanks to my father that was a foreman of repair team at the factory «Techmash» during «Oriana» time. At the above-mentioned enterprise in the year 1988 I started my labour activity after graduation from Kalush professional college No 7. I was taught professional skills and so to say, fine details of this work by a teacher of professional college Vasyl Gutak; apropos, I even worked together with him later at factory «Techmash».

After structural changes at the plant, Yaroslav Lopushinsky came to work to repair-mechanical workshop of olefin production facility. He worked there till 2007 and then searching for best earnings, he left olefin facility and many years he was working at the other construction sites of Ukraine and abroad…

– I am often asked today why I am still in Ukraine with my knowledge of profession, skills and experience, – continues Yaroslav Petrovich. – And I reply that I have already been in other places and I know whom they were taking me for… Guest worker! And it’s quite different when you work at home, wake up and live in a native town. And Kalush became a native town for me. Every day you can meet relatives, friends… So is it possible to replace it with something?

We were longer time communicating with Yaroslav Petrovich. And I noticed that throughout our conversation he remained calm, balanced and …respectful.
