«KARPATNAFTOCHIM» presented tactical equipment to the battalion of territorial defense
Ten sets of tactical vests and the same amount of tactical backpacks were purchased by the enterprise «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» for the battalion of territorial defense; where according to the contract are on reserve service a lot of employees of the enterprise.
This equipment was recently presented at Kalush United Territorial Center of Completing and Social Support to a commander of battalion Roman Kovalchyshyn by Yarema Rudyk, General Director Deputy for economic and finances of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd
At this event of charitable support was also Sergey Benko, a chief of logistic center of the enterprise, participant of military operations in ATO zone that at the time being pursuant to the contract is a reserve officer of territorial defense battalion and fulfills obligations of a chief of the staff. He informed that when the Management of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» had positively responded to the appeal of the command of this territorial defense subdivision, he personally was searching for the respective equipment for reservists, and namely: vests and backpacks. However, it was not so easy to find in Ukraine the Producer and the Seller of such qualitative military equipment.
– As a rule, the producers work under order and produce in a small amount, – tells Sergey Benkо. – Two weeks long I was trying to find in Ukraine per Internet and at different purchasing platforms certain Producers and Suppliers; I communicated with them, considered different options on the topic-vests and backpacks sewing, acceptable in quality and price. And in such a way I finally managed to resolve this issue.
We have bought tactical protective vests of a good quality, which can significantly reduce the risk of injury of officers, sergeants and soldiers from reserve of territorial protection battalion during various studying, training and shooting on the military training ground, and besides of that comfortable backpacks were also purchased. First of all this equipment will be given on request to the employees of our enterprise, who in the number more than half a dozen, are in the reserve of the military unit of battalion, as well as to other reservists that are on service pursuant to the contract.
In his turn a commander of battalion Roman Kovalchyshyn expressed a sincere thankfulness to the Management of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» for a provided support to the subdivision of territorial defence, so far as its material-technical provision from the State is far to be ideal. Only the military uniform is given to officers, sergeants and soldiers, who concluded the contract with military unit of the battalion for reserve service and are recorded to the team of battalion. They can take this uniform to their homes and should come in the uniform at calling up for preparation conducting at training sessions or for participation in other events that are regularly organized. The rest of their time reservists-contract people have a normal civil life, i.e. are working at the enterprises, in institutions, organizations, make other deals, have relaxation and so on. This is the same for reservists who are in battalion without contract. They are also provided with a military uniform for regular callings up for preparations at different sessions but they cannot take this uniform to their homes.
The more complicated situation is currently with provision of reservists of the battalion with sets of military equipment. They must buy all necessary for their own money or seek help from sponsors, patrons, supporters, businessmen, and managers of the enterprises or organizations, where they work.
It is also worth mentioning that on the next day after receipt by commander of battalion the charitable present from «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd, some reservists had chance to test new vests and backpacks on Lisetsky military training ground of National Guard of Ukraine. Here was held the exclusive shooting day, on which, besides of weapon training, they had the training on medical, combat-engineer and tactic preparation. The reservists were taught to detect anti-tanks and anti-personnel mines, mine fields, to set up checkpoints and to fulfill on them different activities, to move and to orientate in the forest, as well as to perform the given tasks during raid of the buildings.
