Young Kalush petrochemical employees visited ancient castles of Lviv Region

On 2d of October by Young Council of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» under support of Supervisory Board of the enterprise was organized the excursion to the most famous castles of Lviv Region.

In frame of this event of Young Council, foreseen by the program of its activity, young workers of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd, as well as a part of more experienced specialists had chance to visit Olesko castle in the settlement Olesko, Pidgirtsi castle in the village Pidgirtsi, Zolochiv castle in the town Zolochiv and  Svirzh castle in the village Svirzh.

During excursion trip Kalush petrochemical specialists were acquainted with historic facts and legends of aforementioned castles, clearly seen and received a lot of interesting information about memorials and objects of cultural heritage of Lviv Region.

Workers of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» exchanged impressions from visits of ancient Lviv Region castles.

Tatyana Wolossianska, leading engineer of technical department:

– It was extremely informative trip. It’s delightful that young generation is eager to know more about the history of our country and join to the reconstruction of ruined and intentionally forgotten monuments of architecture during Soviet time, because the costs, which museum institutions receive from visitors, really promote restructure of the pearls of Ukrainian architecture.

I’d also like to make special mention about a leader of a group for staff organization and development Iryna Biletska and a member of Youth Council of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd. Volodymyr Vintoniv that with a great enthusiasm were organizing the excursion to four castles of Lviv region and encourage young people to new journeys.

It would be fine if Company Management assist further in such events organization and not only young specialists be invited for trips but also  veterans that unfortunately not always had luck to participate in such events.

Ala Dumenko, leading engineer of property and land plots department:

– This weekend I together with my small daughter had chance to make  a perfect and informative journey to four picturesque castles of Lviv region. The excursion was organized pretty well: a comfortable bus, provisions, excursion cards free of charge– this is all due to support of Management of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd. A wonderful weather also contributed to the trip.

We got an incredible impression! Each castle is beautiful in its own way, but most of all we were impressed by grandeur of Pidgirtsi castle. Once upon a time all rooms in this luxurious castle were thematically divided and according to colors – golden room, green room, mosaic room, crimson room… Opposite the palace is located Saint Joseph Catedral (18 century), which we also visited.

We are pleased with this fine journey and we’ll remember it with warmth for a long time.

Ala Popelnytska, leading economist of controlling and reporting department:

– We have visited castles, and each of them is unique and  original for its monumental view, functionality, fortification features.

An important aspect is surely the degree of preservation of these cultural-historical objects at present. From the second half of ХХ century Olesko castle and Zolochiv castle have been functioning as museums. They are mostly well-kept; it’s possible to see there really rich in content and value exhibits of works of both sacred and domestic direction. There are interesting exhibits among works of paintings, sculpture, and decorative-and-applied art.

It’s so pleasant that Management of our enterprise supports the desire of workers to develop their cultural level. Encouraging such initiatives makes a positive impact both for team unity and for satisfaction of emotional and aesthetic needs.

Let’s not forget that we also make contribution to popularization and development of internal tourism of Ukraine and strengthen its base. This is our hope of preservation for successors the heritage of many generations of our ancestors.
