Young lab technicians enjoy the success and strive for improvement

At «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» Ltd., has always been a responsible approach to the issues of human resources policy. An important focus in this work is the involvement of young employees to the team.  Hence two girls Olena Fesh and Christina Oskolip, who work in the laboratory of servicing of PVC-S and Chlorine and Caustic Soda Plant, were persuaded in such approach.

The laboratory technicians told to the pressman of «NK» how did they get to the Company and also shared the impression about their job.

Both girls pursue their speciality. Christina is finishing Chernovtsy National University named by Jury Fedkovych. Formerly Olena studied at Ivano-Frankivsk College of Lviv National Agrarian University for the qualification «Applied ecology», and then got Master’s degrees in Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas for qualification «Ecology and Environmental protection» and in National University «Lvivska Polytechnica» for qualification «Chemical technologies and engineering». Half of the cost for study in IFNTUNG, and also a full cost of study at magistracy of Polytechnic University were paid by «KARPATNAFTOCHIM».

– I entered the college and studied there to be an ecologist, because I was always interested in these issues. After obtaining a complete high education at «Lvivska Polytechnica» I became, so to say, a full-fledged specialist. Here, at «KARPATNAFTOCHIM», I also had a production practice, while studying at the college, and wrote magister diploma thesis under the direction of Chief Deputy of analytic control department Yaroslav Kuchera, – told Olena.

Christina is working at the Company not comparatively a long time – nearly eight months; simultaneously she also studies at MA. As for Olena, she is a worker of laboratory five years long. Both ladies affirm that they were invitingly welcomed by a team of laboratory.

– Firstly I worked in one shift, and then changed for another one. Surely, at the beginning they had a lot of questions to me: why did I decide to work here, why had I chosen the profession of laboratory technician, but actually I was welcomed heartily by a collective and with many people was easy to find common ground- recollects Christina.

The girls are satisfied by work conditions. Workers of laboratory are well provided with all necessary reagents, personal protective equipment and special clothes. They also mentioned about employment benefits – organized free of charge travel to work and back, receive of so-called milk coupons for nourishment, possibility of rest together with a team, etc.

Certainly for them, like laboratory workers, the most interesting in the job is the conducting of various experiments and analyses. Their number is dependable upon the orders coming from industrial facilities. Concerning this Olena notes:

«Definitely the best and the most exciting are visits to the facilities. Personally for me it’s very interesting there. There are a lot of people and you can communicate with them, ask in detail what you are interested for; sometimes in reality it’s impossible to see this. Each such visit is, like a new experience, and I am always looking forward for it with pleasure».

In conclusion I’d like to wish to all employees of «KARPATNAFTOCHIM» to have so much inspiration and enthusiasm to job, like I have seen and perceived in these two young girls. And it’s especially positive that they plan to improve themselves further in professional qualifications and to upgrade the skills.
